AI Creative Artist, Mid Level

About the role
A mid-level creative who brings traditional storytelling, filmmaking, or art direction sensibility to AI-generated content. Works under the guidance of the senior creative artist and the division lead to develop visual approaches, create concept art, and produce AI-generated content with attention to story and emotional impact. Bridges the gap between the entry-level creative learning the ropes and the senior creative setting the standard.
Responsibilities
Create concept keyframes, mood boards, and visual references under direction from the senior creative artist
Produce AI-generated video and image content focused on storytelling, pacing, and emotional impact
Collaborate with production artists by providing visual targets and creative context for their execution work
Iterate on creative outputs based on feedback from senior creative artist, VFX supervisor, and client reviews
Explore and experiment with AI tools to expand the team's creative vocabulary and discover new approaches
Participate in creative reviews, brainstorms, and project kickoffs; contribute ideas and visual thinking
Interpret scripts, briefs, and creative direction to develop visual approaches for AI-generated content
Support the senior creative artist on larger projects requiring multiple creative contributors
Must have
Creative background in filmmaking, art direction, visual storytelling, graphic design, or a related discipline, Strong visual taste and ability to make creative choices about composition, mood, pacing, and narrative, Ability to articulate creative decisions and explain why something works or does not, Willingness to learn AI tools and integrate them into creative workflows, Collaborative mindset and comfort working alongside production-oriented team members
Nice to have
Film school education or professional filmmaking experience, Scriptwriting, storyboarding, or shot listing experience, Any AI tool experience (even self-taught or hobbyist level), Sound design or audio post-production skills, Experience with video editing and post-production workflows

AI tool experience is not required — the team will train. The expectation is willingness to learn and integrate AI tools into creative workflows; the creative eye is what cannot be trained.
